As an independent installer of Solar Thermal systems we install only the solar panels we consider to be the best. We will install either flat-plate collectors or evacuated tubes according to the circumstances of the installation. For a discussion of the various merits of each type of panel, please see the section How does solar work?.
Currently, the systems we recommend are a flat-plate collector manufactured by Gasokol and an evacuated tube manufactured by Ritter. Where customers already have VELUX roof lights, or where they are being installed, we can fit VELUX solar panels to match. We are also happy to install Genersys, Viessmann, Grant, Vaillant and Wolf solar collectors.
Gasokol GmbH is one of the leading solar energy companies in Austria and produces solar collectors and collector accessories.
Gasokol solar panels are distributed in the UK by the Organic Energy Company (www.organicenergy.co.uk).
Gasokol technology is based on over 20 years of experience in the solar collector field, which uses the finest solar collectors on the market, combined with extremely efficient heat transfer systems and state of the art controllers ensuring the very highest levels of efficiency.
Gasokol solar panels are manufacturered to the highest levels of
technical excellence using leading edge technology. The panels are guaranteed for 10 years and require little or no maintenance.
High quality raw materials and proven quality assurance systems ensure products of the highest quality. Intelligent product design reduces the expenditure for packaging. Gasokol only uses recyclable timber and cardboard packaging.
We install two types of Gasokol solar panel. The topSol is a roof integrated solar panel, designed to become an integral part of the roof surface. Roof integrated panels are particularly suited to new build projects.
The tecSol panel is designed to be fitted onto an existing roof or to be free-standing; installed on a specially designed stainless steel A-frame mounting.

Llani Solar is proud to announce that it is one of the first companies in the UK to install VELUX solar panels. Although you may be aware of the Velux range of roof window, you may not know that they also do a range of solar panels. When it is installed the solar collector integrates into the roof just like a VELUX roof window.
VELUX has more than 50 years' experience of roof integration. So they have b
een able to develop solar collectors that can be fitted easily, quickly and efficiently as they integrate into a roof. The result is a flush, sleek finish, with the collector looking like a part of the building design, not an 'add-on'.
Available in four different sizes and using standard flashings it can be combined with existing to new VELUX roof windows to ensure a visually attractive roof design.

Ritter Solar is a manufacturer of highly efficient evacuated tube collectors with CPC reflectors. Ritter solar panels are distributed in the UK by Rayotec (www.rayotec.com).
The Ritter Solar evacuated tube collector consists of 3 main components:
Evacuated tubes - the tubes are composed of two concentric glass tubes.
CPC mirror - in order to increase the efficiency of the evacuated tubes, a highly reflecting, weather-proof CPC mirror is placed behind the evacuated tubes.
Collecting box with heat transfer unit - in each evacuated tube there is a U pipe with direct flow-through that is connected to the collecting or distribution pipes.

Genersys plc is a leading manufacturer of solar thermal technology producing solar systems for water heating for the home and industry and solar pool heating systems. Genersys and its associated companies export solar systems in over 50 countries throughout the world. The Genersys 1000-4 and 1000-10 solar panels are a high quality flat-plate, vertically mounted collectors, offering a reasonably priced solar alternative.
The Genersys 1000-4 solar panel system is also for sale online or instore in the DIY superstore B&Q. On purchase of these products, you will be contacted for the installation service, as they recommend that the system is installed by a qualified person. Llani Solar Ltd. is a registered installer for B&Q solar systems in the Wales area.

The Viessmann Vitosol 300 is a vacuum tube collector with Sol-Titanium coating and heat exchanger, for high efficiency. Suitable for DHW and central heating back-up.
The Vitosol 300 vacuum tube collector operates according to the heat pipe principle, making it suitable for both DHW heating and central heating back-up. Rather than the solar transfer medium flowing directly through the tube, a carrier medium, which evaporates with solar influence, circulates through a special absorber and transfers the heat via a heat exchanger to the solar medium.
As with all Viessman solar collectors, corrosion resistant materials are used. Dry connection of the heat pipes means that installation is easy and individual tubes can be replaced without draining the entire system.

Grant have developed flat and un-obtrusive panels, which are available in two colours - silver, for a more contemporary look, and bronze which blends with most roof types on domestic dwellings. These two options ensure maximum architectural design flexibility.
There are various mounting options for the panels. Grant Solar collectors can be installed on sloping roofs using either an on-roof or in-roof mounting system and also on flat roofs if required.
The Grant system has some unique installation features. The Solar pump station incorporates an air eliminator system that allows the system to be both filled and purged of air in a single operation. Unlike other arrangements there is no need to install an air vent outside on the roof and also no need for regular maintenance.
The Grant Solar collectors are the ‘Flat Plate’ type using 4mm thick ‘low Iron’ glass and a copper collector panel which has a special selective coating. This construction maximises solar absorption whilst minimising reflection by up to 95%.

The auroTHERM range of flat plate collectors consisting of an ultrasonically welded copper grid absorber coating, a toughened 4mm thick solar glass cover and 60mm rear and side insulation.
The whole assembly is encased in a polished aluminium frame for a neat construction. The collectors can be connected in series in horizontal or vertical orientation to suit the available roof space.

Wolf TopSon high efficiency solar panels are manufactured in Germany to meet the stringent EN 12875 Part 2 requirements ensuring maximum efficiency. Wolf
solar panels are available in vertical and horizontal profile. The panels feature:
- Rock wool thermal insulation, 60 mm thick for minimum cooling loss, and also side insulation.
- Full copper absorber with highly selective coating for optimal yield; meander structure guarantees uniform flow and effective function in “low-flow mode”.
- Safety glass 3.2 mm thick, withstands hail in accordance with EN 12975, thermally tempered, TopSon F3/F3-Q with increased light transmission EPDM gasket with one-piece grip bar.
