We install high efficiency wood-fuelled heating systems (log boilers and wood-pellet boilers) which offer a clean, reliable alternative to gas and oil heating systems.
We will install either wood pellet or gasifying log boilers according to the circumstances of the installation:
As the name suggests these large boilers are loaded with a batch of logs and fired up once a day (or less often). The large volume of hot water generated is stored in a sizable water cylinder which feeds the central heating and domestic hot water systems.
These make wood fuel almost as convenient as gas. They can range in size from large boilers with hoppers to store pellets, or small wood stove sitting in a living room fed with bags of pellets. These can run on a timer, as a gas or oil boiler would, feeding into a standard hot water cylinder.
If you have access to cheap firewood, for example if you own woodland, then a log boiler may be the option for you. You will need approximately 8-10 tonnes of dry (2-year seasoned) firewood or 16 tonnes of un-seasoned firewood each year.
If you would like a totally automated heating system, which does not require loading each day, then a wood pellet boiler may be more suitable. If you have outbuildings in which you could house a pellet hopper, then the pellets can be delivered by tanker (just like oil or gas). However, the pellet boilers and hoppers are typically 5m x 3m so a large outbuilding next to your house is needed.
If you don't have space for such a large plant room and you would be happy to feed the pellet boiler with bags of pellets (as you wood a coal or wood stove), then the smallest size of pellet boiler might suit you. These are as attractive as wood stoves and can be installed as the central focus of a fireplace, while still providing central heating and hot water.
We value our independence and only install the best wood fuel boilers on the market in the
As independent installers we install only the wood fuel boilers we consider to be the best. Where a gasifying log boiler is the best solution we install Vigas or HDG systems. Where wood pellets are more suitable we install Ökofen or MCZ pellet boilers.
We are fully accredited under the government’s Microgeneration Accreditation Scheme, as are all the wood fuel boilers we install. This means if we install your wood fuel heating system then you are eligible for the government's Low Carbon Buildings Programme and other grants.

There are four models ranging from 25kW to 80kW in nominal output. All the boilers employ the latest "gasification down burning" technology and have sophisticated electronic controls that ensure maximum efficiency and minimum emissions.
All models comfortably exceed the best performance class of EN303-5, the British Standard governing solid fuel boilers.

HDG control systems employ the most modern electronics in order to achi
eve the lowest emissions, high performance and an impressive operating efficiency for the entire heating system.
HDG split wood log boilers offer users the following features:

The Ökofen wood pellet boiler system is fully automated: not only does the system light itself automatically and feed fuel from the pellet store at precisely the right rate whatever the heating demand, but the boiler also cleans itself every day ensuring continued efficiency year after year. On top of this, consider that in most situations the pellet store will require refuelling only once or twice a year
Ökofen is an Austrian manufacturer with fifteen years of research, design and development experience. We install a range of Ökofen boilers from 8kW to 56kW, or tandem systems for larger heat loads.

Italian pellet boiler manufacturer MCZ offer a range of attractive pellet room heats and boilers suitable for installation as a feature in a living room. Outputs range from 8kW to 24kW so are ideal for the smaller property.
Even though they are small and attractive the MCZ boilers have the ability to heat water for the requirements of the entire house, circulating hot water to radiators and heating a cylinder for domestic hot water. The MCZ room heaters can be installed in a similar manner to a standard wood burning stove, and it is possible to duct the hot air to other rooms.
